Industry & AI: From data silos to a seamless experience

Find out how the right strategy can help you make your data sustainably usable, create unique experiences, and remain resilient and competitive.

In today’s competitive landscape, having an outstanding product is no longer enough to build long-term loyalty among customers and employees. A good user experience at individual touchpoints has long become the standard. The real difference lies in bringing product, service, and brand together into a seamless, personalized overall experience.
Yet the reality in many companies looks different: valuable data from production, administration, and customer interactions is trapped in isolated systems and difficult to access. When this data has to be laboriously consolidated by hand, creating a consistent end-to-end experience becomes nearly impossible. As a result, many AI initiatives also fail to move beyond the pilot stage.

This webinar by Ergosign and point8 brings together two key success factors for sustainable growth: experience strategy and the technological data foundation on which it is built.

About the speakers

Dr. Julian von der Ecken, Senior Data Science Consultant & Partner, point8 GmbH

For ten years, Julian von der Ecken, Partner at point8, has supported companies in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, and manufacturing with digitalization and data science projects — long before all of this was called “AI.” Alongside his consulting work, he actively implements these topics with his teams at point8. This gives him first-hand insight into the challenges behind the AI hype, including legacy systems that have been part of German mid-sized companies for decades. Julian has a background in physics and holds a PhD, with roots at the Max Planck Society, where he discovered his passion for data analysis early on.

Lisa Föllinger, Head of Sector Industry, Ergosign GmbH

Her approach: using UX as a lever for efficiency, safety, and new business models in an industry where complexity is growing faster than the ability to manage it. Internally, she strengthens the team with industry-specific expertise to ensure quality and innovation over the long term. Externally, she builds lasting customer relationships and positions Ergosign as a partner offering tailored solutions — from strategy through to implementation.
